Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. On the left-hand side I used a Top 3 box to focus my priorities, then scattered in task lists, appointments, and reminders for the rest of the day. Snowman Christmas Cards Tutorial

As I posted here, I make my holiday cards every year and they are all textile related.  This year, I deceided to use up some white buttons from the stash to make snowmen.
Here's the tutorial on how to make 4X6 cards

  1. To add some interest, I used to pieces of different colored paper.  Cut the inner card 5 1/2 x 8 inches,  and outer card 4 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches.
  2. Fold each in half and nestle together.
  3. Punch 2 holes on the fold line through both cards.
  4. Thread ribbon through holes, tie in bow and trim ends.
  5. To make snowmen, center three buttons on card using Welbond non-toxic superglue.
  6. Add a ribbon scarf using same glue. Mine were 2.5 inches then folded in half.
  7. Top hat was put together in two parts: 1/4 x 1 inch strip of paper with a 3/4 inch square on top.  Adhered with a regular glue stick!
  8. Face and "3 dots" were made with the tiniest dots of puffy paint.
  9. Let dry for 4-6 hrs

Assembly line process works best!
