Quilt on a Stick

I was asked to sub for a class in which we make a mini art quilt, 8x9, which is secured to a paint stick.

WHY?

For all of you who don't know Minnesota's state fair is known for everything on a stick...pork chops, deep fried candy bars, etc. So as an entry into the creative activities category this year's theme for quilt on a stick is Shakespeare at the fair.

Here was my sample for the class.

hand painted fabric and quite a voluminous skirt.
