Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. On the left-hand side I used a Top 3 box to focus my priorities, then scattered in task lists, appointments, and reminders for the rest of the day. Little Surprises

Little Surprises

My planner is my place to retreat to and find the joy in the making the daily journey fruitful. I LOVE setting up a the whole month one time so I can enjoy being in there daily with no stress of facing an undated or blank page when I’m ready to turn to a new day. This month in addition to my normal setup, I’ve decided to make the little bits I have left over surprise me when I turn the page.

I took every bit, even the oddly shaped scraps of paper and just inserted them in between the pages of my planner. Yup, totally random, and then I started creating the layers on top. For the grid card above, I slit the scrap horizontally and slid the notecard through it. Once adhered to each other, it makes a great place to attach sticky notes for the week’s meal plan and groceries.

Inside this little fall favorite spot I put in few little trinkets. I did take a piece of notepaper off the Main Planner Kit notepad and adhered it to the inside. This is where I will write just a few of my fall must haves- like candle scents and candy favorites. I also added some sticky notes from the Classified Planner Kit. With that little chipmunk, who could resist!?

And speaking of cuteness, This journal card when attached to this little scrap creates a place to put down some fall memories. Adding a border with the highlighter included in Main Planner Kit draws me in to make sure I write about the little moments that make the fall so special to me and my family.
