Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. On the left-hand side I used a Top 3 box to focus my priorities, then scattered in task lists, appointments, and reminders for the rest of the day. DIY Acetate Stencil

The Stationery Kit is always that eclectic, useful, stationery lovers gem from Cocoa Daisy. What I adore is the chance to play with the vellum and acetate they offer us almost every month. This month instead of the pockets or dividers I usually make, I wanted to create a stencil that I could use every month from here on out in my planner.

I created this stencil using simple shapes and cut it out using my Cricut machine.  Here is the link to make one of your own using what I've created for you and I to use.  https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/6761dc54bd19de17db92c525

My only suggestions for those novice Cricut users is to make sure you are using a Strong Grip mat and use the Custom Setting of Stencil .4mm.

If you aren't a Cricut Fan, you can certainly make your own stencil using the acetate.  Just grab a fine tip dry or wet erase marker and draw some simple shapes.  Then using a sharp pair of scissors or craft knife cut out the shapes that would make planning work better for you.  Maybe some banners or check boxes to help get those tasks done.

I think calendar blanks are one of the most useful stencil shapes to make and track with or create your own monthly calendar too.  Enjoy the many ways you can be creative and efficient with your stencils!
