So the summer rattles on and I finished up one more class last week. This time I taught 11, 10-14 yr olds how to dye with natural products. We worked with red cabbage, red onion skins, carrots, blueberries and strawberries. Then I taught them how to make and paint with their own stamps using recycled materials. What an awesome time. I have to say, watching them learn how to sew on the machine was the best! The bag in the middle is patchwork made from scraps we had left made into a group bag for the summer camp show at the Textile Center.
