Twins

No, I'm not pregnant with twins.
Just so we're clear, if I ever do, just take me out behind the barn.

Our family went to our annual Twins game already.
Already meaning, 
The-parents-have-finally-remembered-that-we-promised-the-kids-in-April-and-it's-now-September.


They were nosebleed seats but I guess that if you want a better seat...sit on the couch and watch from home.


Luke tried to keep score but he kept people watching and forgot to write stuff down.  Next time, buddy!

Notebook Bookmark

  Having a weekly overview both in schedule and in tasks is very important to me along with a daily page in my other planner. Taking a notebook apart to reassemble it in a way that works for me needs will give me that stability along with the variety that Cocoa Daisy affords. After slicing the stripe pages away from their counterparts, I numbered the weekly pages and mounted them on a piece of planner kit  cardstockpaper.  Using the included permanent marker I wrote out each week on the large self adhesive tabs so I could find my weeks easier. On the backside of the bookmark, I punched and attached the grid paper using some ribbon.  The alphas from the planner kit sticker sheet gave me a chance of labeling each of the weekly agenda item pages.  And instead of having that paper flopping around without some stability, I attached a planner kit sticky pocket to the bottom of the bookmark. Alternative adhesive

While I love all the natural textures of paper goods there is just something about the adhering quality of lamination that traditional adhesives just can't match. Using the acetate and vellum from the Stationery Kit, I decided to sandwich them together to create a pocketed bookmark. I trimmed the vellum splatter piece to be 2 inches shorter than the acetate and also 1/2 inch narrower than traditional 4.33 x 8.25 standard size I usually have when creating bookmarks for my TN.  Then I lined up the side and bottom edge and put them in the laminating sleeve. Once 'stuck' together, I used a craft knife to slit the top and right side to create a hinged bookmark where I can now store creative elements within my planner pages. Because the vellum and acetate are created in an a5 size,  I needed to trim a little bit and didn't want the bottom sentiment to go to waste. Divided Dashboard

Monthly dashboards can be in many different configurations.  They also can be in many different places within the planner.  With my many Cocoa Daisy collections, I've had dashboards on bookmarks and within the grid pages, but I can't recall having one located on the last striped page of my standard size notebook before the new two page month spread.  I thought this would be the perfect place to put some of the things that either need to happen during the month of April or reflections at the end. I've covered up the days of the week that are on the side of the page with a piece of paper from the Booked for Spring Creative Kit .  The washi strips, included in the Planner Sticker Kit , were used to create some separations within the stripes.
