This Boy - tutorial and other layout ideas

This project is great for using up those small bits of scraps. Cut double sided pieces of paper in strips of 1/2 inch by 3 3/4 and round edges.  Fold in half with a dot of glue to make mini hearts.

NOW...Here is where the fun begins.  I had a great time trying different types of layouts.  I took pictures of  a few layout options that you may use if you would like to duplicate.

For my finial layout, I added zig zag paper strips to a silver sheen 12 x 12 background. After gluing on the hearts, I added texture over the heart with a continuous heart free motion stitch.

I was tempted not to add a large title but needed it to breakup the background.  The thickers were lost in translation so I traced over them with a black marker.  Added do da's and there you go!

Commentary:
The night of his friends Bar Mitzvah I realized Jack had grown up with out me noticing.  Sad and happy moments for me as I watch my little boys grow to be young men.
