February Blog Hop

Image
Welcome, Welcome! Thanks for joining us on our February Blog Hop with Clique Kits! I thought for this blog hop I would take the fabulous Hot Mess Kit  , and be inspired by my 4 of my fellow design team members because they have very distinct and wonderful styles!  I made each layout with each designer in mind, thinking, "what would _____create?"  We all have something to learn from each other, and I learn by trying new ways of doing things. Now, after a few months of being on the same team and creating such different work from the same materials, I've come to admire each and every one of them.  Not that I couldn't make 15 layouts for 15 fabulous designers with the massive amount of supplies in each kit, I widdled it down to 4 for the time being!  So Here goes!! I was inspired by my teammate Donna !  She always embellishes with such whimsy and elegance! Honestly, I have no idea how she does it to make it come out perfect every time! ...

Project Life 2016 | Week 5

I can't tell you how over the moon I am to be extending my Design Team contract with Kellie Stamps until the end of this year.  Her honest designs make my heart pitter patter! I overlayed her February Circle Stamp on top of this picture and the bud coloring just popped! Eli also decided to have a meltdown when we were scootering and had to come in for hot chocolate!  Oh son, you are so cute! It was 48 degrees, but so warm compared to what we were dealing with. Digital  'Outdoors' stamp is from a huge bundle,  More of This 1.1! All the journal cards are from Kelly Purkey Shop for her summer vibes collection, but it totally works for a winter layout too. Wood veneer and acrylics are from, of course, ColorCast Designs! Can't forget about a good fashioned foot shot too!  I thought I matched the carpet of our hotel room perfectly! Thanks for hanging with me! XOXOXOXO -Kim

Re-Bind Your InkWell Press Planner

Image
I love my Inkwell press!  It is just a joy to write in and it fits my aesthetic perfectly!  My only beef is that it is a little bit bulky to flop in my purse and go.  Yes, they make a quarterly that fits in a travelers notebook and an A5 that makes a KiKKi- K sparkle even more, but I like my bound classic layout and those others are of the flex.  The writing space is just prime for me. So I ventured to take apart my bound planner and take 3 months at a time and re-bind it! Here is my step by step instructions on how to perform surgery of the most delicious kind! Since I make covers for fun , I made this one for my new mini-Inki. I gently opened the wire so I could reuse it later ;) I then rolled the coil clockwise to get the pages and covers off! Made 3 piles: those that I've used and want to store (January), those I want to bind in the smaller bind and those pages that I want to rebind for later. Loaded the page...

Project Life 2016 || Week 1 & 2

Hello there and welcome to #pocketpagethursday! I'm totally jumping on the bandwagon that Kellie Winnell and Jessica Upton started to keep them accountable for posting and working on their pocket projects each week.  I need the extra bump too keeping me going throughout the year! Week 1 is bright and cheerful with yellows and blues!  Home and Love stamps are from Kelly Purkey shop   December Kit.  Journal cards are from a friends cast off box.  Lucky me! BTW...I think It's absolutely acceptable to use blurry pictures!  It captures the moment which is so precious to me! It seems that every spread I do involves a Color Cast Designs acrylic or wood piece. Here it's a yellow hello! Her aesthetic is on point and totally grooving with me!  Cards are again a cast off but the transparent heart if from Freckled Fawn.    We had a light saber sword fight that absolutely needed to be documented. On to week...
