Sew it in!

Image
More and more over the years I love to incorporate my first love, sewing, into my paper projects, particularly planning. While most think the paper is too delicate, I challenge anyone to suggest that the acetate included in the Mediterranean Stationery Kit is part of that thinking. Using a simple zig-zag stitch,  I sewed along three edges of my trimmed acetate to secure it to the back craft cover of my Planner Notebook. I did use a piece of the Planner Kit paper to place an additional cover behind, just to cover up the back of my stitches. This whole pocket was to make a home for a double faced bookmark. I made a slit in the top paper to house the clear calendar and did something very similar on the backside with a moon shape to house some sticky notes! Have you ever or would you ever sew on in you planner?

5 minutes - It's summertime planning!

So many things to love about June's Mediterranean theme as it packs a punch with it's bright seasonal colors.  That's why I kept it simple with this 5 minute layout using very just a couple of items from the  Planner Kit.   The tile-framed small notepad pages are a great place to nest a to-do list.  I did remove the top sentiment turned it 180 degrees and placed it against the lemon and leaf washi tape as a page base. Above that is just a simple square highlighting my upcoming schedule. On the facing page I wanted a free floating square in the opposite corner but since I discarded the top of the notepad sentiment again I disguised it by using a sticker across the top.  My date header was simple using the alpha letters, my own script writing, the center of the ring reinforcer and my my favorite large alpha numbers.  What a sweet and simple layout that can be used for planning and journalling.
