Rip Your Planner Apart

Image
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the new-ish format of the Cocoa Daisy  Travelers notebook but my planning style likes to have the weeks and then the corresponding daily pages following. This is such an easy fix just to flip a couple pages and viola, the problem is solved. I do have a corresponding video that explains how I did it.  After talking out the staple, you simply alternate a color block weeks page in your Paipere Insert with the grid pages. And within the alternating you flip the 2nd and 4th colorblock page face down. Because we are rearranging pages they don't particularly match in terms of design, BUT they do in terms of color and theme. To be frank, I love the mix of colors, lines and grid pages. It gives it and even more of a artistic feel. Now with this process there will be one shared daily page each week, I've chosen mine to be Saturday and Sunday, and you will have 2 extra pages during the 3rd week.  Those two extra pages, I've turned into a 'Currently'...

Bird Cage Tag with Vellum 'Ribbon'

Image
I used the packaging from Cocoa Daisy Kit  ,you know I love to do that. And I cut out this scallop shaped tag from that. I'm going to make a birdcage. So I did outline the edge with a thicker marker followed by a thinner one marker. Now, I did have to use permanent ink because it does have a sheen to it.  I bet you guys didn't know you could make your own rub ons. I used the digital files from the Paperie kit and made rub on. I'll do that in a different video.  I added some of the birdcage 'wire' on the top, added a couple stickers. Now for the tassel , I just took a piece of vellum, cut it into a tiny strip. To finish it off,  I wrote all of my family members names on the birdcage wire on the top.  xoxoxo -Kim

2023 PowerSheets Season By Season Daily Planner

Image
I'm going to be reviewing the Daily Planner put out by Cultivate What Matters who also has done the PowerSheets and the 90 Day PowerSheets , so they are getting into the daily game and I am so thankful they are.   It does have this hardback cover and the corner boards and it does have a very large ring. And the only concern I have with that is if you use stickers every single day, it would build bulk up quite a bit on to this ring, have trouble turning, which we'll get to in a second.   Sometimes it's nice to get those prompts to kind of get those juices flowing, so to speak. This one starts on December 26, so you can start planning right away prior to the first of the year, the last week of the holidays. My favorite other favorite part about this is I love this, my upcoming week. So you can actually near the end of the week like Wednesday, Thursday,  start shifting some things to the next week. This is a great place to note that and then feel ready for the...

2020 PowerSheets: Goal Planning to Action Steps | How to break down those BIG Goals!!!

Image
Goals for a new year and even a new decade can be DAUNTING! All the fears and questions about what fits the life you want to live, changes you want to see and are they the right ones to pick are super stressful! I once felt like that too. Goals were like this big massive object out in the future which I couldn't see or visualize. Then I started breaking that goal down into smaller units and then could I see the progress or adjustments I could make to be more successful.  It was so powerful to see myself chipping away at that BIG ice block! Using PowerSheets has only helped clarify those Goals and the larger action steps to enhance my "goal getter" mentality.   Now I do have one problem with the PowerSheets .  There isn't enough room and no way to organize my thoughts into actionable items. The Actions Ideas short column located in each month is supposed to be the place where for each goal you map out that month's actions list....

PowerSheet Prep Pages | My October-December Plan of Action

Image
With 2019 closing in on me I want to get a jump start on 2020 PowerSheets . With current tending lists, the kids football schedule and my own full time teacher job, I know I'm going to have a ton of time in large chunks to work on my PowerSheets Prep Pages during the schedule week (December 9th) that Lara and her staff have set aside to help guide us with these pages. With all that in mind, I really wanted to map out specifically those days in my life where I had devoted PST (my own way of saying PowerSheets Time ).  What I did may not shock you if you a devotee of my blogs or You Tube channel.... I created two calendars November and December using the May and March 2020 Calendars from the planner .  All I did was slit between each of the coils, removed those months, photocopies those May and March, and inserted them right back into the planner with no issue.  It's that simple.  Let me show you how they turned out! Here is November....
