Printables to Planners

Image
This months Clique Kits printables are pretty darn crazy cute!  With the boxes, flags and phrases, I thought it would be cute to use them in my planner since they match this week's spread. Yes, I could have just printed the pdf on sticky paper, but I wanted to customize them to EXACTLY fit the boxes in my planner. For this week, I used my Erin Condren Life planner with the vertical boxes edition. I'll show you how to resize them and also make custom stickers below. I imported all the .png's into my Cricuit design space and added them all to my canvas for resizing. Each box is 1.5 inches wide and 1.9 inches in height so I used the edit function to unlock the proportions and type in the dimentions. I also made some layer sticker sets to print off as is as well.  Like scrapbooking, layers of stickers to add dimension is always a great way to be creative with your layout. The best part is that the program is that it fits them o...

Clique Kits | the Devil is in the Details

Image
Pocket pages are supposed to be simple; put a piece of paper in a plastic pocket with some photos and writing and you're done.  While the overall project would get done and done quicker, would it get done so that I would like it in the end?   For me the Devil is in the Details. The letter stickers, fussy cut heart from one of the 6 x 6 papers and ephemera flag work together to create a corner of happiness in this layout. I used the packaging from the Elle Studio ephemera pack and turned up the corner on this card. A large print, small print and stripe are always a winning combination.    This card I decided to fringe this paper a bit thinking the pocket page could use a little texture. I know it would not be at it's full potential since it will be placed in the pocket but it really will make a difference in the long run. Using the cut aparts to journal on the picture, which is mounted on a 'little moments" paper, is quick wa...

Clique Kits May Blog Hop!

Image
Hey everyone! Welcome to the May CK Blog Hop! This month I made a card in 20 minutes to accompany some homemade cookies for a friend! Here is the process video  Using my Sillouette, I made a card base using overlapping circles and used the May cut file to make a top decorative piece. Adhering the cut file with puffy adhesive to give it dimension, I added ephemera pieces underneath afterwards to give it some jazz! I then finished it off with some more ephemera pieces on the inside! I also make this for CK National Scrapbook Day Challenge!   Don't forget to head over to Sandy next! KELLIE STAMPS ct May 2016 | Selfie

Image
Inspired by Amanda Hall's digital overlay over at Jot Magazine , I used Kellie Stamps  Label It and My Fav  digitals and  overlayed them on a 8x10 selfie.  Then I copied the same picture, with all the digitals, and used a harsher, sketch like filter and printed both out and started to collage. Background papers are from the May Scrapbook kit from Studio Calico. I also used Stayz-on white ink and stamped the physical stamp onto coordianting paper and backed it with lighter to stand out. Enamel dots are, again, from May Scrapbooking kit from Studio Calico. You can kinda see the the difference between to two filtered pictures. It was fun to play around with both pictures to create this crazy collage. 'Til next time! xoxoxo -Kim
