I participated in  Elle's Studio National Scrapbook Day Challenge  this year! Join in if you'd like to you can still upload your link until midnight PST on Friday, May 12th, 2017:) The challenge was to create a travelers notebook spread! I did so using the Little Moments Collection which paired so well with my succulent picture. I gave the flowers that I cut out from the 12 x 12 sheet a little dimension by gluing them only in the center and turning the edges up.  They really do stay like this even when the TN is shut! I added a whole bunch of bits from the collection to the corner!  I love it when designers think about the salvage cut ends because I always look to use them in my layouts too!  Nothing is sacred, even packaging!   Thanks for joining me! xoxoxo Kim

This planner kit is so versitle and generous I could use it for a month in my planners. Today I'm showing you how I use it in a structured layout and one a little less rigid. I covered up the days of the week with the Washi and then added an additional puffy letter sticker on top to make it pop! Unstructured I used the chipboard backing as a stencil to make task boxes on my page. Adding several pops of yellow really makes this page pop! On this day I repeated the washi and added the dimensional stars and those wonderful vellum stickers. I got a little goofy doodling using the circles from the "stencil"  along with a few more of the chipboard shapes! Thanks for stopping by!

Liz has a new release called Weekend Vibes and I was just so tickled how the layout came together I thought I'd share with you the little bits about it! There was a circle inset .psd so I thought it would be perfect for a mini close up of the moss that had so much texture.  Luke is looking up from the foot chimes which makes a perfect backdrop for the digital adventure pocket guide template.  Black stars from Color Cast Designs were a great focal point for that burst journal card. Eli took a spill on the slippery bridge and Jack hugged him for comfort!  Love those boys which who always seem to ham it up in this same spot each time I take a picture. I love how her digital elements always compliment the photos no matter what the circumstance! The whole layout came together with just the right mix of digital and physical! Hi there! We've got another sketch challenge for all of you this May!  And just like last month, I used my bible for the base of my project. I think this sketch could go a lot of different ways and I hope that you play along! I didn't use photos like last time but instead used the boxes to highlight the verse I was focusing on, which was Ecclesiastes 2:17, btw. Instead of using paint, I used stamp pads with varying degrees of texture, color and liquidity to create a foundation for the journaling  and the perfect velum stickers used in this May  kit. I added some chipboard shapes and the paper clip to the page instead of on the top by making a quick slit with an xacto knife.
