Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. On the left-hand side I used a Top 3 box to focus my priorities, then scattered in task lists, appointments, and reminders for the rest of the day. I also I divided my tasks into AM and PM lists I do this quite often because it makes...

“Check, Please.”

The guest check tear pad was the inspiration behind this month’s planner format. It’s perfect for some off the cuff summer fun! Instead of using it in a travelers notebook like it’s intention and using it bound in that way, I made a tear pad out of the individual pages.

Once I sliced the whole notebook into halves, I rearranged the notepages to have one weekly striped page then followed by 5 pages of the designed grid pages. To made a sturdy back, I stacked the covers together and glued them on top of each other. For assembly, after lining the pages and the cover in a pile and holding tightly, I generously put a bead of craft glue along the top of the stack. 3 binder clips along the top were quite helpful holding it together while it dried.

I haven’t done a project with Cocoa Daisy yet that I haven’t used or made a pocket and this month it’s not different. I folded in a 1/2 inch on three sides of a 3.5 x 5.5 inch piece of the diner paper and topped it with washi tape from the Let’s Go Main Planner kit. After adhering it down on three sides, it is a great place for the Creative Kit stickers mini sheets or the paper that I have used and ripped off.

In hindsight I should have cut my remaining kit paper to use as dividers to put the Let’s Go Creative Kit tabs on them.. But instead attached 3 to the weekly striped pages. What a sturdy place to plan a month, make lists or dream of a summer wanderlust get-a-way!
