Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. On the left-hand side I used a Top 3 box to focus my priorities, then scattered in task lists, appointments, and reminders for the rest of the day. I also I divided my tasks into AM and PM lists I do this quite often because it makes...

Layers of Lovely

Along with the layers of clothing added at this time of year,  I feel like that same effect creeps into my notebook.  Even with a finite amount of space in each of our planners,  you can achieve the best of both worlds where there is a place with artwork and movement as well as the space to plan your day.

Starting with the gold accented vellum included in the Chapters Stationery Kit, I just added it to the inside of a page like many of us do for tip-ins.  There are several sneaky ways to create the layers on both sides of the page though.  Underneath the vellum I created some book stacks with the included die cuts and stickers and also took the falling leaves across the page with some additional sticker leaves from a hand drawn branch using the click art pen also in the Chapters Stationery Kit.

To create the layers on this self created pencil board bookmark, I started with the clear overlay and used the backing cardstock as a base.  The lights, swish and sneaky reader in the background were all added using the decorative glitter stickers.  I adhered the two together only on the top and bottom as to create a pocket to carry stickers around in my Standard Size notebook.  Enjoy all your planner layers this cozy season with Cocoa Daisy!
