Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. Cocoa Daisy ‘From the Garden’ May 2024

 

I really thought about how I wanted to incorporate the ‘Things to Do’ Acrylic wipe off board included in the From the Garden Stationary Kit. Knowing that if it was on my desk on a clipboard I wouln’t use it as much, but on the front of my planner, now that would be perfect!

With the text being white, I decided to use the kraft cover of. my TN to be the background. And is since the acrylic sheet is so thick and sturdy, cutting and punching the pages for a wire-o bind this month was the perfect solution. To make it pop off the page even more, I used a marker to transfer the ink to the paper and then added a rub-on from the Cocoa Daisy Planner Add on Kit for dimension.

Because I divided up the Standard Size Notebook , It was really easy to move the pages around as I like them with the weekly striped pages in front of 6 daily pages. It also is easy to add so many things like journal cards, sicky notes and the helpful budget tracker sheets, from the Main Planner Kit, within each week.

I did put a pocket on the inside front cover for the smallest stickers we received but I needed a spot for the 3x4 one’s. Taking the Overlay sheet, folding it in half, securing the top and bottom ends, then punching it was the perfect solution to carrying my stickers on the go. I slit each of the punches so I can definitely move it week to week and be sticker ready at any time!
