Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. On the left-hand side I used a Top 3 box to focus my priorities, then scattered in task lists, appointments, and reminders for the rest of the day. I also I divided my tasks into AM and PM lists I do this quite often because it makes...

Half of a Half

One of my favorite things in the Little Bee Cottage Stationery Kit is the postcard, but I also hate it! It is amazingly awful that the most perfect piece of textured paper is two sided, so incorporating both sides of it’s glory was in need of some shenanigans. It was time to separate it between it’s layers.

This and all the Cocoa Daisy PostCards are like a layer cake. I just started dividing it half with my fingernails at one corner and gently pulled it apart until it was in 2 full pieces. From there, I cut the half in half and adhered one on the page for a pocket. The other half I mounted on card stock to make a place for to-do’s with the Standard Size Notebook.

While the notebook pages are notorious for having the most beautifully decorated pages, I did embellish this one with a few of the sticky notes toppled onto each other for designated places to write my day out. The Little Bee Cottage Stationery Kit’s roll of velum stickers had several that are perfect, including the fern , which I added here to create some depth and layering.
