Faux Tag Spread

In a previous Cocoa Daisy project, I created a tag using the October Glow Creative Ki t paper to serve as a bookmark. I loved the idea so much that I decided to use it as a template throughout the spread. By tracing around it and then shading in the edges, I was able to mimic the look of layered paper and give my pages extra depth without the bulk. It creates a dimensional effect that makes the tags look like they’re tucked right into my notebook. To keep that “layered paper” look going, I added strips of washi tape from the Planner Kit to the top and bottom of each 'tag'  Washi is one of my favorite ways to bring in more texture without overwhelming the page. It frames the sections nicely and it also helps divide my to-dos from my daily schedule. Cover and Calen


Double Duty is always high on my list of things that work well for me when I set up my monthly planner. Using the Cocoa Daisy Take Flight collection for this cute monthly Travelers Notebook is both a cover and a calendar.

Fun Fact about the papers included in the main planner kit is that they are a true perfect fit tri-fold Standard Size Notebook Cover. Instead of using the natural crease in the paper, just line up the right hand edge with the notebook and the rest of the paper is folded to create the front cover and flap. While the back cover is used for future May tasks, the front will be used for April.

I used the date stickers from the Main Planner Kit to lay out a quick April Calendar on the inside flap. This will give me the opportunity to see and write multiple events on each of the dates and also note the larger multi day occasions as well. The right hand side I’ve laid out for meal ideas and mainly outside tasks that need to be taken care of this month.

As you tuck the front flap down to close up the Notebook, there is the opportunity to add one of the always popular adhesive backed pockets from the Planner add on kit. These colored dot stickers are secured well and ready for my planning in a hurry.
